2011-2012 Bags of Hope

Whatley Elementary School Woodlawn, Alabama

Birmingham, AL -Jeremiah Castille Foundation is pleased to announce Bags of Hope, book bag and school supply give-a-way, at Whatley Elementary School in Birmingham. Bags of Hope is a ministry of Jeremiah Castille Foundation that provides book bags and school supplies to students.  Since the inception of the program in 2008, JCF has reached approximately 700 students and will reach an additional 500 students at Whatley Elementary on November 17, 2011. In addition to the book bags filled with supplies, Jeremiah Castille will visit the school and provide a powerful message to the community, as well as assist in the distribution of the book bags. This year, Meadowbrook Baptist Church Youth and Children’s Ministry collected the supplies and packed 200 bags as a ministry project led by their youth pastor, Chris Jones and children’s pastor ,David Eanes.

Jeremiah Castille Foundation’s vision is to invest, influence, impact and inspire young lives so they may rebuild and restore future generations.  Bags of Hope allow students to begin the school year prepared with the necessary school supplies that are often difficult for families to purchase.  Bags of Hope give students a sense of pride knowing that they have the tools needed to accomplish the educational task before them.

Special thanks to sponsors, contributors and partners David Splawn, Rick Lee, Tim Castille, Otis and Ashley McGee, Larry and Joyce Suttles and Jeff Raley of Goodrich.

Jeremiah Castille Foundation is 501(C)(3) non-profit entity.  If you would like to donate to the Bags of Hope program or Jeremiah Castille Foundation, please contact us or for more information or visit www.castillefoundation.org.
